An approved Firearms safety course is required to be submitted with your appication for a firearms license at time of submission.
Generally these courses are split into two catergories,
1. AB licenses for rifles and shotguns
2. H licenses for handguns.
If you have previously done a safety course for an AB license you will have to do a seperate course for your H license, howerever if you have never done a course you can sit for both or just one in one day.
Unfortunately Crows Nest Pistol Club does not offer these courses, however you can contact Downs Protection for available courses in the Toowoomba area, or a simple yellow pages or Google search may offer more results.
Once you have completed your safety course it will expire in 12 months, which generally leaves everyone enough time to use on your firearms application.
